CYPMH Practitioner - RMN/OT/SW

As an integrated Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community Trust, Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including:
- Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
- Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
- Community physical health and well-being services for children and adults.
The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. Do you want to be part of a rapidly developing service? and are you committed to improving the lives of Children, Young People and their families?
In a period of exciting change, South Cumbria CYPMH Service are looking to recruit a full time Band 5 CYPMH Practitioner on a fixed term, 10 month basis, to complement the wider multi-disciplinary CYPMH service; a busy, friendly service providing a range of treatment approaches to children and young people 0 – 18yrs including CBT, EMDR, psychiatry, psychology and IPT. We also work in close collaboration with partner agencies. This is a development role ideal for newly qualified (or new to CYPMH) registered practitioner. Once the post-holder has completed a minimum of 12 months clinical practice in CYPMH and met associated competencies there will be opportunities to progress to a Band 6 Senior CYPMH Practitioner role.

We work with children, young people and families up to the age of 18years presenting with a wide range of moderate to severe, emotional and mental difficulties. Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties would be an advantage.
We are committed to ongoing continuous professional development of our staff and as a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in various training initiatives, including CYPIAPT.
The hours of work are 9am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday and as we have bases in Barrow and Kendal, travel across the South Cumbria locality will be required.
