Job overview
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide secretarial support within the Neurodevelopment Service within Children & Young People’s Division based at Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient and organised with their own workload. The candidate should also have excellent keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft Office Package.
A good telephone manner is essential. The ability to speak Welsh would be beneficial but is not essential. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Main duties of the job
An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector, CAIS) in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers
The post holder will provide an efficient administration service to support the medical secretary team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of general education/(GCSE English at grade C) and above or equivalent
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing to work towards
Desirable criteria
- IT related qualification
- L2 RSA/OCR or equivalent text or audio
Experience

- Knowledge of a range of administrative processes.

- Experience of working in office environment.
