Team Administrator to the Psychology/OT Departments – Secure Care and Offender Health (Band 4 – 30 hours per week)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Team Administrator to join our Psychology/OT Teams.  The successful candidate would work in a split role across the Tamarind Centre which is a medium secure unit in Yardley Green and Ardenleigh which is a medium secure unit in Erdington.

The Team Administrator role is a central role within the departments and provides administrative support to the Psychology and OT Leads and Teams.

Main duties of the job

Working as a team player, you will need to be highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic with excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.  You will need to be able to meet deadlines and be able to work under pressure.  You must have the ability to manage your time effectively in order to meet the needs of the service as your role is across two sites.

A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and experience of working in a busy office environment is essential.  The post holder will also be required to take comprehensive minutes and transcribe notes from digital dictation. 

The successful applicant with have an NVQ Level III in Business Admin or equivalent plus relevant experience of working in an administrative role.

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level III in Business Admin or equivalent
  • GCSE English

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Microsoft office, power-point, outlook and excel
  • Ability to take minutes and provide support for meetings
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and Information Governance
Desirable criteria
  • Administrative Experience working in the NHS
