We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Manager on a fixed term basis to autonomously provide concise, timely, impartial, and expert advice, guidance, and support to E&F divisional managers and staff across all trust sites.
The ideal candidate will ensure the effectiveness of the Trust’s risk and incident management arrangements and oversee risk reduction to promote a culture of safety and efficiency within the organization.
Main duties of the job
Your role will include:
- To develop, implement, monitor, and review the divisional risk management framework and processes, in line with the Trust risk management policy, best practice (Orange Book, IRM guidance, ISO 31000, etc.) and NHS guidance.
- Support on the investigation and reporting on risk incidents and near misses, and identify opportunities for learning and improvement. To present investigation reports at divisional level.
- You will have responsibility for budgetary compliance of annual capital budget across risk and health and safety.
- Line management of Health and Safety Adviser including undertaking of appraisal.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- A degree in Risk Management or a related professional
- Level 3 Award in Adult Education or specialist knowledge within the field
- Membership of professional risk body
- Professional certifications in Risk Management (Level 5) , such as Institute of Risk Management
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of conducting complex risk assessments
- Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and practices
- Experience of developing and implementing risk management frameworks and processes
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Proven knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
- Ability to develop improvement plans and track outputs
- Ability to undertake on-site surveys with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
- Solid knowledge and skills using Microsoft 365
Applicant requirements
