Job overview

Do you hold a full licence to drive a Bus (category d)? Are you interested in helping staff and patients travel to our Hospitals ? Do you want to a career in an NHS Trust where Sustainability is at the forefront in everything we do?

If you answered yes to these three questions, we have the role for you! We’re looking for a Bus Driver to work full time (37.5 hours).  The successful candidate will be required to drive the Hospital Buses and other Trust vehicles.

Successful candidates will work 37.5 hours a week over 4 or 5 days in 7 dependent on the rota.

Main duties of the job

On a day to day basis, duties may include:-

  • Driving of the Hospital Free Bus supporting patients,visitors and staff with their travel to our Hospitals
  • Driving the delivery vehicles around Bristol and the surrounding areas ensuring a reliable delivery and collection of medical equipment
  • Complete relevant checklists and other paperwork related to the role
  • Work as part of a team to deliver a seamless Transport service
  • Being responsible for maintaining daily vehicle checks

The ideal candidate will:-

  • Have outstanding record keeping skills
  • Be a confident communicator
  • Have a strong customer focus with all stakeholders
  • Hold a full PCV (category d) driving licence
  • Hold a category C1 driving licence
  • Have a valid Driver Cerificate of professional competence (CPC)
