Job overview
The successful post holder will be expected to actively participate in developing research, teaching and audit programmes and taking an active part in the clinical governance requirements of the Department. The post holder will also be required to participate in an out-of-hours 1:7 on-call rota.

Clinical Research Fellow in Perioperative Medicine
Applications are invited from anaesthesia staff-in-training (CT3+) or CCT holders in Anaesthetics for a full-time Clinical Fellow post in Perioperative Medicine.
The post will commence as soon as possible and will be for one year in the first instance.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent
- Current GMC Certificate
- Training in Radiation Protection or agreement to attend next available course (state higher qualifications if applicable)
Desirable criteria
- Intercalated Degree
- MSc or PHD
- Academic Excellence (prizes, merits, distinctions)
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Primary FRCA and holder of intermediate level training certificate by appointment
- At least 2 years of anaesthetic practice
- Minimum of 12 months experience of working within Anaesthesia in the NHS
Skills, knowledge and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
- Up to date with current medical practices
Desirable criteria
- Teaching qualification
- Proven and consistent evidence of interest in teaching
- Experience in Simulation education
Attidude, Aptitude and Personal Characteristics
Essential criteria
- Motivated and efficient
- Able to relate to patients, staff and medical colleagues
- Flexible, caring and hardworking
- Ability to work as part of a team
