Estates Manager (Accommodation and Property)

We are seeking an individual with a track record of leading the development and implementation of space and workplace management strategies across a complex estate portfolio. Through proactive and positive engagement  with stakeholders you will.

The role would suit an individual with the skills and experience to affect wide scale change across a complex and diverse range of property and space types whilst playing a key part in delivering an estate that will support the delivery of clinical care.

Key relationships will run right across the Trust and externally, through the Cheshire & Wirral Partnership Trust footprint with all relevant stakeholders, notably Cheshire & Merseyside Integrated Care System, Cheshire West Place, Cheshire East Place, Wirral Place including local authorities and other NHS organisations.

Mani Duties include but not limited to:

  • Liaise across care groups and clinical support services to understand the estate implications of their strategic plans.
  • Promote to care groups and clinical support services the best practice and efficiency opportunities for the estate.
  • Analyse current and future estate footprint and identify the gaps in existing and future infrastructure.
  • Manage process for undertaking of due-diligence at both pre and post-acquisition.
  • Management of negotiation of tenancy agreements, licences and Service Level Agreements.
  • To contribute to all estates related data returns and information requests received from Department of Health, NHS England and other bodies.
  • Develop and implement Trust wide policies, procedures and guidelines in relation to allocation and occupation of accommodation and premises.
  • Project mange the implementation of web based room & desk booking software, including the development of associated standard operating procedures for its use.

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to produce and monitor forecast budgetary plans.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience

  • Estates and Facilities management service experience at a managerial level.
  • Experience of negotiating / dealing with external parties and partner organisations.
  • Experience of conducting estates surveys and audits.
