paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner  within Halton (Runcorn) UTC. Full time 37.5  hours per week.  Workplace support and training will be provided and will you be supported to obtain educational qualification if required.

Training to obtain Minor Injury and Illness Qualification will start in September 2024 at Salford University if required.

The role will involve history taking, examination of patients attending with Minor Injury and Illness. It will be expected that applicants have experience of working with these types of patients.

  • To work as  part of Halton (Runcorn) UTC  team , seeing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed health problems; liaising with others to maintain and enhance a culture which promotes effective multidisciplinary team working within the organisation and across the wider health economy.
  • To provide care and advice to clients utilizing evidence based practice to promote effective treatment and health promotion.
  • Assess, plan and implement treatment plans using evidence based nursing care
  • Acts as an a practitioner within agreed protocols guided by organisational policies and within scope of professional practice.
  • Works under  supervision in the provision of care to clients, accessing the knowledge and skills of the team leader as required.
  • Act as a mentor to pre and post registration nurses, allied health professional and unqualified students.
  • The post holder should demonstrate flexibility and be able to work across a range of shift patterns.
  • Participates in the education, development and line management of other staff members
  • Is an effective team player within the interdependent unit, operating flexibly across both units as required and recognizing the benefits of the integrated approach
  • Eager to work within Minor Injuries and obtain Minor Injury and Illness qualifications to become an autonomous practitioner
