We expect all new starters in clinical, patient facing posts (bands 1-4) to complete all 15 standards of the Care Certificate, within their first 3 months with us. 

5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Podiatry Department is seeking to recruit a Band 5 Podiatrist for 37.5 hours to work within our well-established team.

All applicants must hold a Degree or Diploma in Podiatric Medicine and a Certificate for Local Anaesthesia. Candidates will also need to demonstrate good communication skills, a flexible and proactive approach to work.

The role would include a broad range of activities inclusive of assessment, diagnosis, and development and implement individual care programmes for new and existing patients with a wide variety of clinical need, such as, long term conditions, vascular problems, neurological conditions, wound management, sharp debridement, gait analysis/manufacture of orthoses and nail surgery. This work will be based within clinics across primary and secondary care, day centres, domiciliary visits and residential/nursing homes.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality. If necessary adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an Enhanced DBS, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
