The Friary Community Hospital is based in Richmond in North Yorkshire and  offers a range of inpatients and outpatient services to the local communities supported by local GP’s.

We primarily deliver Rehabilitation, Discharge planning & Palliative Care.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic ,self-motivated, and dynamic  staff nurse with effective  communication skills  to join our Primary Care Hospitals team.

This is an exciting time to join our dynamic service, as we continue to implement the Transforming Community Services agenda. It offers an opportunity to be part of delivering future community care within Primary Care Hospitals in North Yorkshire as part of South Tees Community Services. The organisation is committed to improving and expanding services to our local population and our local hospitals will play a vital role in this.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will work as part of a team delivering excellent nursing care  and will be expected to support junior staff as necessary. The role will involve monitoring and evaluating evidenced based practice and sharing knowledge through education and training with colleagues and students.

The post will be based at the Friary Community Hospital in Richmond, but staff are required to work across all South Tees hospitals as the service requires.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills.  You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to

  • Explore leadership within the NHS
  • Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
  • Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
  • Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role

After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
