An opportunity has arisen for a 12-month Fixed Term/Secondment into the Quality Co-ordinator role at the Queens Hospital Burton site (QHB) of Derbyshire Pathology. We will consider part-time hours for this secondment role.

As Quality Coordinator at the QHB site, you will play a key role in supporting the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) across all disciplines such as Blood Sciences, Microbiology and Blood Transfusion. You will be a central point for discipline leads to link into the Quality Team and will support the Quality Manager who is based at the Royal Derby Hospital site to ensure a robust quality system.

You will provide quality administrative support across all disciplines, examples of some of the tasks you will be carrying out on a day-to-day basis are:

Use of the quality system Q-Pulse to review compliance with departmental targets and the extraction of reports to support service leads with prioritisation of workloads

Obtain data and complete Key Performance Indicators to assist departmental monitoring

Attend quality meetings to provide administrative support, taking notes and producing minutes

Perform quality checks on documentation to ensure compliant with requirements

Administration of other quality systems as and when required, for example the incident and risk management system Datix

Maintain filing systems, ensuring sensitive and confidential information is stored appropriately 

Deal with enquiries and communicate messages, both in person, over the telephone and over MS Teams
