This is an excellent opportunity, based at the Royal Derby Hospital, for a registered health care professional with established teaching skills, knowledge and experience in education, who is an Adult or Paediatric Resuscitation Council UK Instructor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of structured resuscitation, clinical skills and simulation based education. Support in the lead of the Simulation and Resuscitation quality workstream, within an excellent educational environment.

The successful candidate will be a member of an outstanding, dynamic, innovative and highly respected resuscitation and simulation training team, within the Medical Director's Office portfolio.

The department is responding to the educational demand for both resuscitation, simulation and clinical skills for UHDB staff and Medical Students.

There is excellent scope and opportunity for personal and professional development. Dependent upon your skills and knowledge, the successful candidates' induction will include a period of coaching enabling strong leadership within the role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of new and innovative simulation training sessions for medical students on clinical placements and doctors in training.
  • Lead and work towards development and facilitation of competency based clinical skills training and assessment for doctors in training.
  • Lead on the delivery, development and quality of all levels of resuscitation training and on advanced clinical simulation.
