Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and organised person to join the fast paced  Dorset MSK Triage Team within Dorset Musculoskeletal Services.

This is a part time 22.5 hours per week vacancy.

The Service is spread across Dorset and with the ability to use virtual communication software, team members can keep in touch on a daily basis.

Main duties of the job

In order to deliver a modernised service that has patient care and communication at its heart, we need people with excellent IT skills and a desire to improve the patient experience.

You will work under the direction of the Administration  Team Lead with excellent attention to detail.

The team is spread across the county so you will need to contribute to team working at the same time as using your own initiative. You will manage patient records through different electronic patient management systems and will deal with patient queries on a daily basis. This will require excellent customer care skills.

Experience in a healthcare setting and using patient record systems would be preferred.

There may be occasional need for travel between sites.

The successful applicant will  work at  Shelley Road in Boscombe.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Interviews are planned to take place F2F or via MS Teams

Working for our organisation

At Dorset HealthCare we’re on a mission to empower people to make the most of their lives through our outstanding, joined-up healthcare services. We’re a dynamic, forward-looking Trust, running 12 community hospitals, specialist inpatient facilities and a wide range of integrated community and mental health services for a population of almost 800,000 people.

Whether you’re looking to work with us in one of our bustling market towns, vibrant urban locations, thriving seaside spots, or among the rolling hills of Dorset, there are lots of ways you can make a difference in our communities.

Our 7,000-strongworkforce is at the heart of what we do and our success is a testament to our brilliant people. We're all about building a workplace for the future, we believe in equal opportunities and we celebrate diversity. We’re an inclusive workplace, where everyone is welcome, everyone can be authentic, and we are all encouraged to be the best version of ourselves.
