An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and organised person to join the fast paced Dorset MSK Triage Team within Dorset Musculoskeletal Services.
This is a part time 22.5 hours per week vacancy.
The Service is spread across Dorset and with the ability to use virtual communication software, team members can keep in touch on a daily basis.
Main duties of the job
In order to deliver a modernised service that has patient care and communication at its heart, we need people with excellent IT skills and a desire to improve the patient experience.
You will work under the direction of the Administration Team Lead with excellent attention to detail.
The team is spread across the county so you will need to contribute to team working at the same time as using your own initiative. You will manage patient records through different electronic patient management systems and will deal with patient queries on a daily basis. This will require excellent customer care skills.
Experience in a healthcare setting and using patient record systems would be preferred.
There may be occasional need for travel between sites.
The successful applicant will work at Shelley Road in Boscombe.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in office procedures RSA level 3 or equivalent
- IT skills – Microsoft office functions and Clinical patient record systems
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- English language qualification at CSE level or equivalent

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
