A Business Manager role has become available within the Integrated and Holistic Care Group.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Assistant Service Manager and Matron in delivering the care group objectives and in the management of their teams.

The care group offers a dynamic and varied opportunity to develop and enhance business skills within a fast paced and supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job include:

  • Provide leadership and management to the secretarial and administration teams
  • Proactively manage the business of the care group, for and with the Assistant Service Manager, Matron and Clinical Director
  • Take an active role in supporting business planning and developments within the care group and across the division as needed

What you will have:

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent (desirable)
  • Recent experience in working operationally in a healthcare setting
  • Good communication skills and can engage with the multidisciplinary team effectively.

Person specification

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Essential criteria
  • 4 O’levels/GSCE’s including Maths and English Language
Desirable criteria
  • Educated to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Educated to degree level

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant & recent experience of working at a similar level within a healthcare setting, in a hands-on operational role.
  • Experience of supervision/line management.
  • Experience of working in a project team to deliver positive change.
  • Experience of managing performance targets (including KPIs)
  • Significant and considerable administration experience.
Desirable criteria
  • Significant experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Word

SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE

Essential criteria
  • The ability to communicate effectively with all members of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and make informed decisions.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail coupled with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to plan ahead.
  • An understanding of the need for patient & staff confidentiality.
Desirable criteria
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills and the ability to use e-mail.
