Trosolwg o'r swydd

We're looking for a  Patient Safety and Quality Manager to join our team in our Surgery and Critical Care division.

As our PS&Q manager you will facilitate clinical effectiveness (including risk, clinical audits NICE guidance and procedural documents), incident management, complaints, PALs. Triangulate reports.  Monitoring audits and action plans and ensure learning is shared and any other processes which fall within the Patient Safety & Quality remit.

You will act as a point of contact to advise and support the division in managing incidents reporting processes, escalation and external reporting.

The Patient Safety & Quality Manager who is able to interact with all levels of clinical and non-clinical staff.

Co-ordinates the investigation of Incidents and complaints, including liaison with other divisions within the Trust and central PS&Q team and various external professional agencies. To act as key point of contact with patients and patients’ families to support appropriate and timely responses in line with local and national guidelines, whilst prioritising workloads to meet challenging inflexible deadlines.

We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.

Skills & Knowledge

Meini prawf hanfodol
  • Ability to use MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge of Incident Management Systemes such as DATIX
  • Prior clinical governance or other relevant experience in an NHS or similar environment.
  • Experience of working with complex and sensitive information

Education & Qualification

  • A NMC registered nurse
  • Management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience

  • Car owner and holder of current driving licence
  • Expert working knowledge of Datix Incident Management System.
