Job overview

Breast Imaging Receptionist, Band 2 (19 hours a week)

The post holder is responsible for reception cover for the Breast Imaging Service on the ground floor of Thirlestaine Breast Centre.

They are responsible for signposting patients to the correct area and for booking patients attending for Breast Imaging examinations.

In addition the post holder is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Breast Imaging admin team which may include answering the telephone, booking appointments and updating screening lists.

This post is for 19 hours covering 5 mornings (Mon-Fri) per week

 

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Breast Imaging administration team assisting in the efficient delivery of a busy high-quality service.

To have excellent administration and communication skills with the ability to work in busy fast paced environment

This is an exciting opportunity for a well organised, committed, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our specialist team based at Thirlestaine Breast Centre. We are an exceptionally friendly team based in a dedicated breast centre approximately 5 minutes walk from Cheltenham General Hospital

We deliver the National Breast Screening Programme for Gloucestershire with a screening population of over 100,000 women. In this role you will work alongside our experienced administration team and closely with the varying Specialities within the breast unit.

We provide all breast outpatient services for those requiring diagnosis or treatment in the county of Gloucestershire.

  • Minimum Grade C (4) GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
