Job overview

To provide a fast pace  high quality general administrative support to the Education Training service; in addition, having a defined area of responsibility for administering specific functions as defined in role specific responsibilities.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Training Administration Team including telephone enquiries , supporting queries of the Education Training Inboxes, Identifying and processing of Training compliance & training competency transfers,  Processing complex Trust induction programmes, identifying data errors, Trust Position number enquiries, Register creation & Trust induction Cut-off Points all within set time scales
  • To provide a comprehensive administrative support for St Georges Grenadian & London medical students at both Winchester & Basingstoke hospital

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Evidence & Examples in application of using/used MS Word & Excel to a high standard, ECDL or equivalent
  • NVQ level 2 Business Admin / Customer Service or equivalent qualifications.
  • GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration / Customer Service or equivalent.
  • Running/creating reports via excel

Experience & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Strong Experience & evidence in application of working in an Administration role
  • Experience & evidence in application of having to apply attention to detail & accuracy to previous roles
  • Experience and evidence in application of following daily processes in previous roles
Desirable criteria
  • Administration in a similar training and development function
  • Understanding of administration in Medical Student Placements

Skills and Ability

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of currently being able to take instruction/ direction and follow processes
  • Evidence in application & experience of being capable to work on own initiative and referring people when appropriate
  • Evidence & examples in application of being able to work within a team
  • Evidence & examples in application to be able to work without direct supervision
Desirable criteria
  • Trouble shooting errors on excel reports
