Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the endoscopy administration unit at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital.    The successful applicant will be joining a motivated team responsible for the  booking of  patients and managing the endoscopy waiting list.    You will also be dealing with patient queries both face to face and on the telephone providing advice, information and guidance regarding endoscopy appointments.    

Main duties of the job

To work with the other team members to ensure patients are booked for their procedure; inputting data in real time on the patient management systems.  Keeping all patients details up to date on the management systems as well as undertaking other administrative duties including checking capacity availability and utilization, handling post, typing, data input of audit.

You will have responsibility for  booking patients on a daily basis as well as having an in depth understanding of waiting list management and booking procedures and will manage the endoscopy waiting list ensuring compliance with local and national targets and policies and procedures.

You will also be responsible for greeting patients in the endoscopy unit for a procedure and input all necessary data in real time.   Keeping all patient details up to date in line with Trust policies and procedures. 

Undertake mandatory and other training as deemed necessary and participate in the training and induction of new staff.
