The acute Neurosurgery team and Neuro-rehab team are Specialist Regional Services providing assessment and rehabilitation following neurological trauma, surgery or disease within Lancashire and South Cumbria.

We are also a Regional Vascular Centre for Lancashire and South Cumbria and therefore provide care for a wide population of patients with vascular conditions including those who need to undergo limb amputation. Alongside the vascular service we work across a number of surgical specialities such as colorectal, urology, upper gastroenterology and head and neck.

Our Acute Medical teams across RPH and CDH cover a broad spectrum of specialities. Your excellent organisation skills will mean that you are able to effectively carry a varied caseload across different medical specialisms.

Our Major Trauma centre is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Major Trauma Network and is a specialist centre responsible for the care of the most severely injured patients involved in major trauma.

On each rotation you will be fully supported by having regular supervision and in-service training specific to that area as well as team meetings to keep up to date with any important information, to share ideas and to work on service developments.

There is also a band 6 Occupational Therapy forum that meets each month that provides a space for discussion with your peers as well as presentations and training from a range of speakers.
