The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board System Coordination Centre is seeking a Band 4 System Coordination Centre Administrator (subject to confirmation of grading) to work within the SCC and across the UEC wider team taking the system learning and creating transformation and improvement opportunities.
The purpose of the SCC is to always ensure the safest and highest quality of care possible for the population by balancing the clinical risk within and across all health and care services. It ensures a consistent and collective approach to managing system demand and capacity as well as mitigation of risks, leading and facilitating delivery of:
- Visibility of operational pressures and risks across providers and system partners
- Concerted action on key systemic and emergent issues impacting patient flow, ambulance handover delays and other performance, clinical and operational challenges
- Dynamic responses to emerging challenges and mutual aid
- Efficient flows of information
- The role will be predominantly office based, from County Hall Glenfield, but will be agile with the opportunity to work from several provider locations in LLR to build relationships and experience pathways first hand, gaining a whole system knowledge base
- This is a full-time role working 37.5 hrs per week flexibly across Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00.

The SCC Administrator will engage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, in particular:
- To support the delivery of daily activities to manage system flow and escalation and ensure completion of appropriate recording and reporting.
- To liaise with the wider ICB teams to contribute operational feedback.
- To support the identification and sharing of best practice.
- To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment.
- To support the daily System Flow calls, clarifying actions as required to improve or maintain flow.
- To provide support to the Urgent Care team in times of escalation and surge.

Integrated Care Boards bring together providers of NHS services with local authorities and other local partners to plan, co-ordinate and arrange health services as part of Integrated Care Systems.

· Using initiative to prioritise own workload exercising discretion as to the degree of urgency, importance and confidentiality required. Required to act independently and manage own workload.
· Using initiative and judgement at all times, analysing facts and situations to solve problems.
· Multi-task, and plan work for short, medium, and long-term timescales. Plan and organise sometimes complex activities requiring adjustments to be made, e.g. resolve conflicting diary appointments and arrange meetings with a number of internal/external participants with complex diaries.
· Work within procedural guidelines.
· Ensure deadlines are met and take appropriate action to make sure work is completed to given timescales.
· Work flexibly within core office hours and liaise with colleagues to ensure time off does not overlap.

Eduction/Training/Qualifications

- A level or equivalent experience
- RSA Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Advanced ECDL or equivalent experience
Knowledge & Experience

- Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with sensitive, contentious and confidential information.
- Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
- Knowledge of the NHS and current issues.
