We have a variety of Band 5 Acute Registered Nurse opportunities across the Trust.
Join Croydon Hospital as a Newly Qualified Nurse and you will be enrolled onto our preceptorship programme which helps to support the first 12 months of your career. ? If you are an experienced nurse what is the offer?
You will carry out all relevant forms of care under supervision and when proficient demonstrate procedures of care; supervise junior qualified and / or unqualified staff including student nurses whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

Main duties
The post holder will provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of patient care. To work closely with the department / ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the department / ward environment.

· Acute Medical Unit
o Fast-paced acute unit made up of 46 beds, 14 of which are monitored.
· Duppas 1 & 2
o General medical
o Cardiology and respiratory
· Edgecombe 1
o General medical ward
o Gastroenterology, Diabetes & Renal
· Edgecombe 2
o General Medicine
o Gastroenterology, Diabetes & Renal
· Emergency Department
· Endoscopy – staff with endoscopy experience will only be considered
o Hours of working: Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 18:00
· Pre assessment – staff with pre assessment experience will only be considered
o Hours of working: Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 18:00
· Purley 1
o General Surgery Ward
o Gynaecology
· Purley 2
o General Medicine / Renal ward
o ITU step downs
· Queens 1
o Post Elective General Surgery
· Queens 3
o Surgical ward
o Trauma and orthopaedics
· Same Day Emergency Care
o Hours of working 08:30 – 21:00 (no nights)
