An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at one of the UK’s largest NHS Trusts and at London’s most historical hospital. We are looking for a Band 7 who is ready for new challenges or an experienced Band 6 who is seeking promotional opportunities to join our team at the Bart’s Cancer Centre on a full-time basis.
The Barts Cancer Centre comprises of 79 inpatient beds with a mixed caseload of Medical Oncology, Haem Oncology and Endocrine patients. The service also includes an Outpatient Oncology Physiotherapy Service and the successful post holder will also hold a role in this department too.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, innovative, passionate, skilled and motivated clinician with preferably some experience of working with an oncology patient population. They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with empathy and compassion at the heart of the care that they provide within the framework of our multi-disciplinary team.

- Degree/Qualification in physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Post graduate courses relevant to the clinical speciality

- Evidence of Masters level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant clinical area
- Member of special interest group
Experience & Knowledge

- Experience working at band 6 or equivalent level.
- Broad ranging experience in an acute setting including; neurology, surgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation and oncology and palliative care demonstrated by advanced clinical reasoning
- Senior experience in an outpatient setting including: musculoskeletal, management of long-term conditions and exercise prescription
- Knowledge of cancer treatments and consequences of treatment related side effects
- Highly developed communication skills i.e. Advanced Communication skills or equivalent
- Experience of clinical education of students, developing educational programmes, teaching and presenting.
- Experience of multi-professional working
- Knowledge of person-centred care, positive psychology, behaviour change and self-management
- Experience of using clinical governance framework to monitor and improve patient care quality

- Previous experience at band 7 level
- Clinical experience in oncology outpatients
- Awareness of Local and National Cancer Directives
- Experience of service development
