Job overview

We are seeking a passionate, focused and knowledgeable manager to join Hotel Services department as a Domestic Service Manager at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. We are looking for a team member who will go the extra mile and develop their careers in hospitality in a healthcare environment.

Your role would be to the leader and deliver a high quality  service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, you will work closely with your colleagues across hospitals sites ensuring that the Domestic Service is responsive and service user focused. You would be responsible for managing a large domestic team, carrying out duties for both in patient, and non-patient environments. This may also entail specialised tasks e.g., cleaning , managing the services budget, training, and equipment within the area of responsibility.

To be successful in this role you would need to have:

  • An intimate working knowledge of the National Specifications for Cleanliness 2022.
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor/Manager, managing, delivering and maintaining a domestic cleaning service that achieves a clean, safe and hygienic patient environment in line with Trust best practice, policies, procedures and KPI’s
  • Experience in identifying changes in service demands and developing the necessary strategies appropriate for implementation in line with Trust management policies.

Essential criteria
  • Qualification in Health & Safety
  • Good standard of education - GCSE or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Healthcare support services, BICSc, CPSS
  • Institute of Environmental Health Officers Basic Food Hygiene certificate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Proven experience of supervising a diverse workforce within a service environment
  • Previous experience working in a customer facing role
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
