Job overview

Are you great with people, very organised, and passionate about patient care?  Our Oncology Service is looking for a motivated friendly and confident individual with experience of working within a very busy and fast-paced patient facing environment to come and join our team.

The Data Quality Systems and Training Co-ordinator will be required to provide competent and comprehensive service coordination of SACT data to ensure the quality of data is accurate and is collected in a timely fashion.  They will be responsible for data quality checks of all the data collected as part of the patient SACT journey.

The postholder will be expected to take the lead on resolving local data quality issues and ensuring that data and activity is captured before reporting month cut off and other deadlines.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be required to provide competent and comprehensive service coordination of SACT data to ensure the quality of data is accurate and is collected in a timely fashion. Working closely with the Data Quality Systems and Training Manager, the post holder will be expected to take lead on resolving local data quality issues, liaising with the relevant teams and ensuring that data and activity is captured before reporting month cutoff date and other deadline
  • The post holder will be responsible for the smooth running of the patient journey from referral to treatment/discharge from their cancer care by ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs. They will assist the management team to ensure key performance, quality and financial targets are met and the service is developed as per Directorate plans

  • Degree or equivalent qualification or experience.

EXPERIENCE

Essential criteria
  • Creation and use of administrative systems. Advanced experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Systems Management. Knowledge of RTT and Cancer targets

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Good communication skills
