We are a large NHS Trust with over 300+ pharmacy staff working across 3 large sites. We are looking to recruit individuals who are enthusiastic and passionate to make a change to patient care.
You'll join a diverse and professional team that is warm and welcoming.
You would have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and practical skills in specialist areas e.g. the dispensary, aseptic units, purchasing and on the wards.
We require you to hold a pharmacy technician qualification and registration with the GPhC or be due to join the register this summer.
You'll require great written and verbal communication skills, good concentration level and attention to details.
You'll work under strict guidelines as pertains to the Medicine Management policy.

The aim of the Rotational Pharmacy Technician training programme at ICHT is to:
Develop pharmacy technicians knowledge and skills to have a patient centred approach in all the key roles in the pharmacy specialist areas e.g. dispensary, aseptic units, purchasing and on the wards.
Deliver high standards of hospital pharmacy services to patients and end users.
Ensure that service provision is flexible and responsive to patient and users needs from dispensary (all sites), distribution sections (all sites), purchasing, on the wards and the aseptic sections (Charing Cross & Hammersmith sites)
Have a good understanding of the roles of multi-disciplinary team members.
Pharmacy services are highly regarded by both patients and Trust staff and the high profile of our service and the positive feedback we receive make it a stimulating and rewarding place to work.
The post includes participation in weekend, Bank Holiday and late duty rotas.

- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians or equivalent
- Mandatory professional CPD as defined by the GPhC
Meini prawf dymunol
- Professional Pharmacy Technician registration with the GPhC – Essential eligibility to enter the GPhC register within 3 months
Experience
Meini prawf hanfodol
- Experience of working in a UK pharmacy, this must include experience of dispensing prescriptions
- Experience of pharmacy computer systems
- Experience in delivering high quality customer care

- A solid grounding in all aspects of UK hospital practice (aseptic and dispensing services)
- Experience of working in an in-patient hospital dispensary within the last year
- Staff training experience
- Use of JAC pharmacy computer systems
Skills

- Good literacy, numeracy and interpersonal skills
- Literate in the use of information technology
- Good knowledge of main roles and practise of pharmacy staff
- Able to interpret and dispense prescriptions accurately, competently provide basic patient counselling
