The postholders will have a high level of accountability and responsibility for programmes of work, line management of other clinical leads in their areas and aspects of budgetary responsibility. These roles are also likely to have responsibility across multiple areas of work or programmes with significant requirements for external engagement.  The postholder will be required to have significant levels of relevant expertise and substantial previous leadership experience.

Three Clinical Directors will be appointed as individual Delivery Alliance Leads to each of our three Alliances.

Interviews between 28th May – 14th June ‘24

Main duties of the job

•    This role will play a key part in driving forward the Children and Young People’s Alliance – once of the three streams within the overall Lambeth Together programme.
•    The postholder will be expected to bring their clinical expertise and strategic oversight to support the Alliance as it beds in further. This will include supporting specific programmes of work and providing positive challenge, bringing ideas and the views of fellow clinicians into discussions, as well as the chairing and co-chairing of meetings.

The Clinical Lead role responsibilities include:
•    To be the Lambeth’s Children and Young People Clinical Lead, working with SEL ICS to provide clinical direction, assurance, and support in the commissioning of effective and efficient services, ensuring clinically sound decisions are taken on service redesign to transform clinical services and improve patient outcome.
•    To provide clinical input, scrutiny and comment on business cases, service specifications and any related committee papers to ensure that the model of care being developed is clinically robust, measurable, realistic, and sustainable.
