Job overview

This vacancy may close before the current listed closing date. You are advised not to delay submitting your completed application.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Epic-certified/accredited professional with a keen interest in digital healthcare. The successful candidates will join an experienced and diverse team of analysts who support UCLH’s digital infrastructure. Our current opportunity is in the Patient Access & Flow team which supports the following modules Cadence, Prelude, Grand Central, Welcome & Springboard.

Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Our Electronic Health Record - Epic - helps to ensure that we continue to get better at delivering services and treatment plans designed around patient needs. Our vision is to create a digitally enabled organisation that supports the delivery of efficient and effective patient care, achieved through easy-to-use systems that provide staff and patients with access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time. To help us to achieve this vision, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our EHR team.

It is a requirement that candidates hold Epic certification or accreditation, ideally but not necessarily within the applications we are recruiting into. If you do not have certification/ accreditation within the relevant application, you will be required to undertake a period of training to obtain this. You will be fully supported by your manager and team throughout this process.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will oversee and be responsible for the design, configuration, build, and testing of their application module. You will support the Management team to ensure the team execute relevant plans and deliver work on time in adherence to the established governance structure and quality standards. You will work with departmental leads, operational managers, super-users and subject matter experts, analysing service needs to agree and deliver clinical best practice standards, future workflows and system optimisation. You will contribute to scoping and prioritisation of new projects in line with Trust strategic objectives.

The work will include developing, leading and supporting analysts within an application team, and working closely with training, technical, information, programme management, benefits and communications staff. You will spend a part of your time working with other EHRS teams in several “integrated areas” requiring close collaborative and co-ordinated working with other EHRS teams, including: orders, users & security, reporting, testing, training, interfaces, and business continuity planning. We also have a rolling upgrade programme which delivers new features and functionality to ensure the system is up-to-date.
