Senior Manager - Regeneration and Infrastructure

NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) was formed on 1 July 2022.
We are an exciting new organisation putting the needs of communities at the heart of our commissioning arrangements.
We are working with local people and partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. Our key priority in the next year will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our Out of Hospital Strategy.

The post holder will be the lead interface for regeneration and spatial planning with the GLA and other London regional bodies. The post holder will take an active part in wider activities and workstreams to ensure the benefits in addressing the wider determinates of health from service and spatial planning are optimised.
The post holder will work within the Regeneration and Infrastructure team to help system partners to plan the infrastructure requirements for our 7 place-based populations over the next 20 years. They will work closely with eight Local Planning Authorities to design and deliver a process for ensuring robust health engagement as part of the Local Planning system and appropriate contributions for health from housing growth.

The Regeneration and Infrastructure Team play an instrumental part in supporting strategic planning in North East London.
Working with local partners they will ensure that local infrastructure strategies are in place and reflected in local authority plans. These strategies will make use of demographic, clinical and activity business intelligence to develop and shape these plans and strategies. The role will lead the development of strategic outline business cases for any changes identified. They will lead on data analysis, service model development, stakeholder engagement and co-production with partners and the public to inform the enablement of integrated health and care.

- • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
- • Post-graduate degree or equivalent
- • Evidence of continued professional development

Experience

- • Evidence of planning and delivering programmes and projects and services on time
- • Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
- • Experience of managing risks and reporting
- • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence
- • Knowledge of financial systems e.g. budget management, processing invoices and procurement
- • Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills
Knowledge

- • Understanding of the public sector
- • Knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project
- • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
