Reporting into the Chief Information Officer, this newly created role will be
responsible for helping to set the technical direction within the organisation. The CTO will be expected to lead a diverse range of people, over multiple services in a fast-paced technology step change programme to improve the digital maturity of the Trust and collaborate effectively with the senior leadership team.
The role of CTO is to ensure inspirational and values-driven leadership
and management of the technology, digital, IT and cyber function to ensure:
- Technology and digital supports the drive to modernise PCFT
- Delivery of a fit for purpose IT service responsive to user needs;
- Digital and IT skills are developed and maintained across all users;
- Develop and Deliver an integrated cyber strategy across systems, data and users;
- Collaborate with other care providers and key suppliers to enhance our digital outcomes;
- Continuous improvement and value for money in decisions supporting change and growth.
The role will provide operational and strategic Digital leadership across the whole Trust. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the incumbent will play a key role in shaping and operationally managing Digital services.
The role will develop a culture within the team that facilitates excellence by
developing and maintaining robust systems that are resilient, documented and in-line with industry standards

- Educated to degree level.
- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience at a senior level.
Experience

- Proven experience working as a senior manager within health or social care Digital/Technology functions
- Demonstrable experience of developing Technology Strategies across complex systems, taking into account local, regional, national and supplier requirements/constraints
- Experience of delivering presentations on complex IT subjects to large groups /conferences both internally and externally
Knowledge

- Specialist knowledge of Information Technology including infrastructure, End User Compute, Service Desk and DSPT
- Expert understanding of the background to & aims of current healthcare National and Local Digital Strategy and policy & appreciate the implications of these on PCFT
- Extensive knowledge of the NHS performance, delivery & contracting processes.
