Personal Assistant to the ECMO Team, CTCCU

The post holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative service, primarily to the ECMO Team,  as well as the Directorate of Critical Care within the Clinical Scientific Services Division. This includes maintenance of office and personal diaries, organisation of meetings, teaching workshops and the ECMO Simulation Suite, office administration, word-processing and minute taking.

 

The post holder will be responsible for their workload and will be able to work without direct supervision. They will use their own initiative and independent judgement to assess and take action where necessary.

  • Provide full secretarial service and administrative support to the ECMO Clinical and Nursing Team for Critical Care, and general secretarial cover for the Critical Care.
  • Produce correspondence as required within an agreed time span to support the ECMO Team as well as secretarial support to the wider Critical Care.
  • Arrange meetings, appointments, booking venues, and travel arrangements. Access electronic diaries of other members of the Directorate in order to co-ordinate.
  • Attend directorate meetings to take and produce high quality minutes and actions of those meetings. Chase and record action.
  • Provide cross-cover to the CTCCU Rota Co-Ordinator.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the ECMO Service. Assist Healthcare Professionals and the general public when required in a helpful and courteous.
