Job overview
As a Lead HePMA Pharmacy Technician, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and safe operation of workflows within the system. You will take on leadership responsibilities to configure, implement and optimise Nervecentre HePMA within the organisation, which will revolutionise the delivery of healthcare within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

Main duties of the job
- To contribute and participate in the coordination of all aspects of the HePMA implementation and dependent systems e.g. Welsh Clinical Portal/PMS.
- Ensure all medicines built in HePMA comply with relevant Pharmaceutical legislation to ensure patient safety is maintained
- To lead on the configuration of the HePMA software providing specialist knowledge input from their relevant field.
- Development and implementation of new policies and procedures to ensure safe medication practice with HePMA.
- Lead on the business process for medicines management from a technical perspective.
- Acting as HePMA pharmacy leader for technicians and support staff.
- Understand the use of other systems and how they interact i.e. System C, MTeD.
- Responsible for planning and managing own workload and delegating to Specialist HePMA Pharmacy Technicians.
- High level of accuracy skills required as the post holder will be building drugs in a HePMA system for administration to patients.
- Be an ambassador for HePMA, digital working and the concept of ‘digital first’ wards and hospitals.
- Ensure effective communication between the project implementation team and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, using persuasion and negotiation skills to ensure key stakeholders are engaged
- Manage the development and delivery of training relating to all aspects of HePMA and other medicines-related technical solutions.
- Act as a mentor for staff undertaking formal training schemes

Essential criteria
- Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Digital Pharmacy system experience
- Management/leadership qualification
- SOP writing experience
- Excellent organisational skills, demonstrates leadership, relationship skills
- Able to work under pressure on own initiative
- Methodical/reliable/accurate/organised
Desirable criteria
- RPS member
- SQL training
- Service improvement qualification - Silver
- Experience of managing ePMA system
- Knowledege of PRINCE2 principles
Other
Essential criteria
- Willing to travel within health board, work flexible hours around go-live support
