Job overview
This role will focus on enabling the rostering database to be a true reflection of staff working practices, and that best practice is followed by system users.
To act as a primary point of contact for user queries.
The successful candidate will be an expert in the Trust’s rostering system, which is currently GRS.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen to join the Rostering Services team.
Duties include maintaining the GRS system, to provide critical & timely information relating to Rosters, Annual Leave & Timesheets, among other modules.
Owning work streams and developing processes that improve efficiency and quality within the team and GRS environment
Supporting the Application Owner through system User Acceptance Testing

Ensure the information in the rostering database (GRS) is current, accurate, and maintained in a timely way.
To provide an introduction and training of new users to the rostering database. This will include proactively offering advice to areas of the Trust joining the rostering database to ensure that the structure and reporting mechanisms are appropriate and consistent.
Responsible for highlighting errors and faults within the rostering database to the Rostering Manager, and for ensuring the integrity of data following any subsequent corrections or changes.
Supporting Operational Managers and the recently formed Planning & Resourcing teams.

Essential criteria
- Extensive GRS knowledge
- Regular use of the system in current role
Desirable criteria
- Experience at GRS System Admin Level
- Experience in planning rotas
Ability to spot errors in data
Essential criteria
- Good proven attention to detail
- Able to give potentially contentious feedback to colleagues
Desirable criteria
- Experience in auditing data
- Understanding of managing personal data
Experience managing & improving work streams/processes
Essential criteria
- Previous ownership of & responsibility for a workstream/process

- Previous experience developing/improving processes
Confidence to explain complex data
