Job overview

We require friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join a highly motivated, dedicated team of Housekeepers across the Trust to include Mental health wards. 

If you have a proven track record of being able to deliver a high-quality cleaning and house keeping service this could be the role for you and we want to hear from you!

Main duties of the job

Successful candidates need to be team players who are flexible and reliable, with good interpersonal and communication skills. 

The posts involve shift working, this includes late shifts, early shifts, weekends, and bank holidays over a rolling rota,  weekends and bank holidays are paid at an enhanced rate.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This role adds to the patients experience by providing a high-quality cleaning and catering service. The aim will be to ensure a clean safe environment and catering provision for clients, of which in-house training can be provided.

Opportunities for extra hours may also be available so flexibility is required.

Essential criteria
  • Some knowledge of cleaning chemicals

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Basic cleaning skills Willing to undertake NVQ2 food hygiene
  • Good general education
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ 1 in cleaning
  • To demonstrate an interest in Learning/Further Training
  • NVQ2 food hygiene

Experience

Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a health care setting
