Job overview
We are looking to recruit 2 compassionate individuals to work 16 hours within our committed outpatient’s team.
You will be a reliable team player, have excellent communication skills, a kind and caring manner and be willing to work flexibly.
You will work closely with other team members to provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing consultation, investigation and treatment in the Outpatient Department.
You must hold an NVQ Level 2 in Care and experience of caring for patients in a community hospital setting is essential.
You will need to be motivated, hardworking and show empathy to all our visitors to our hospital.
Main duties of the job
To ensure that patients are treated with dignity and respect, to ensure that high quality of care is given.
To advise patients and carers on health care issues and support them in times of stressful and emotional events which are frequently emotionally demanding to the nurse and demanding on their time.
Performing clinical skills relevant to individual clinics e.g. Blood pressure,
weights, urine, visions.
Decontamination and tracking of equipment after use.
Assisting the Consultant and other Healthcare professionals within the clinical setting independently.
To support and assist in audits / monitoring / collecting data / transferring data to other sources; in collaboration with the department manager & Matron.
Car Driver to travel to other clinic areas that we cover Robert Blake school /Burnham on Sea War Memorial Hospital OPD

- NVQ Level 11 (Direct Care).
- Evidence of literacy & Numeracy skills – GCSE or equivalent.
- IT skills

- Venepuncture skills.
Knowledge

- Previous Experience as a care assistant.
