Our unit is dedicated to care for the Older Adults with long term medical conditions or acute illnesses. We are also looking for individuals who would like to broaden their career options & develop skills in both ward base & admission unit as area of expertise. 

Main duties of the job

  • The Post holder will be responsible for the assessment of the needs, development of programmes of care, & for the implementation & evaluation of these programmes for patients & their relatives
  • Provide a high standard of clinical nursing within the ward / department.
  • Manage a group of patients
  • Take charge of the ward when rostered & assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision
    5 .Act as a role model to students & Clinical Support Workers
    6. Present a positive, professional image of the organisation & of the nursing team

  • Good communication skills. Experience in undertaking dressings. Has experience as a student or registered nurse in an Acute hospital setting.
