Job overview

Unfortunately we cannot accept those who need sponsorship to work in this role due to government guidelines

Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in Phlebotomy. We are looking to recruit a phlebotomist to join our Phlebotomy team in the Pathology department at Salisbury District Hospital.

The role will include working alongside other healthcare professionals to provide a flexible and responsive phlebotomy service. Previous phlebotomy skills are desirable, but not essential as full training will be given. Once appropriate competency is achieved further training in cannulation and pediatric phlebotomy will be undertaken.

Some shift working will be required and flexible working is encouraged. The service supports a number of offsite outreach clinics and will involve working alongside the laboratory and medical staff. In this role there will be the opportunity to work on the hospital wards, in the Outpatients area, offsite clinics and the Children’s Unit and will suit an enthusiastic and flexible candidate.

Main duties of the job

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate so a willingness to learn is important. Candidates should also have good communication skills and basic computer skills.

Informal visits are encouraged to learn more about this exciting role. Please see the additional contact details below to arrange.
