Wirksworth is a small town of approx. 5000 people and is situated equidistant from Derby and Chesterfield. As the nearest hospital A&E department is so far away, the treatment room at the Health centre serves as a mini-casualty and it provides the initial management of nearly all emergencies in the area. The Practice has also taken part in the teaching of PRHOs over the last 3 years. The surrounding area is extremely picturesque. The Practice atmosphere is friendly and the local people are loyal to the Practice and also very friendly to Registrars!
