Main duties of the job

The Radiotherapy Department at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity as a Radiotherapy Clinical Support Worker for a customer focussed, friendly and enthusiastic individual, as part of our expanding service.

Qualifications / training required

Essential criteria
  • NVQ 3 in Healthcare, with acute units corresponding to speciality (or equivalent)
  • Good verbal and written literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrable to GCSE (or equivalent standard)
  • Good keyboard skills and computer literacy skills
  • ECDL or equivalent computer training
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets eg MS Excel
  • Care certificate completion
  • Education to A level

Previous or relevant experience necessary

  • Experience in customer service/ working with the public
  • Understanding of acute hospital environment
  • Proven experience in a caring role
