An exciting opportunity is available for a Podiatry service delivery manager. Do you have previous experience in a Team lead role?

You will provide strong leadership and direction for the service, working to provide excellent patient care and good team dynamics.

Main duties of the job

A core function will be to meet the operational service targets, including delivering   the annual activity trajectories and waiting list management, as well as our quality targets. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for clinical innovation, improving patient pathways and working across our other Community Services to join up our pathways.  You will have opportunity to continually improve the clinical services ensuring best practice standards are met and making the services a great place for staff to work.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  •                     To provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership across community services. To be the service manager for the Adult community services Podiatry Department there may be a requirement to work with additional services. Providing a strong clinical presence. Developing therapists and professional / clinical practice assuring the provision of a safe, effective and evidence based service to patients.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Professional qualification, live on the appropriate registration
  • 1s' level Degree
  • Masters Degree or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development relevant to this role
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching/mentorship qualification
  • Project Management Experience
  • Post graduate degree
  • Clinical Specialist qualification (or experience) in their area

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Implementation of national nursing/midwifery/AHP guidance and standards, and championing of good clinical practice
  • Implementing of Safety and Risk Management practices
  • Sound knowledge and evidence of clinical triage
  • Design and implementation of patient care pathways
