Job overview

BHRUT maternity department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic band 3 maternity support workers with previous experience in the care industry. You will be supporting Midwives, nurses, nursery nurses and Doctors to provide care to the women and babies in the department.
 
You will be working within the public health team with the ability to rotate within all clinical areas within maternity. This includes the maternity antenatal clinics and maternity theatres as well as the in-patient ward areas and labour ward. You should have previous experience of working with the public. A good standard of numeracy and literacy and a flexible approach to work in any area of maternity.
 
Your main roles and responsibilities whilst working alongside the registered health care professionals would be to assist in the provision of care to women and their babies, during ante-natal, delivery and postnatal period.

We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
