We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

 

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and proactive Contract Support Officer to join one of the most diverse providers of integrated physical and mental health care in the country, providing a full range of mental health, physical healthcare and community services for children, adults and older people living primary in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow but also with a presence in Berkshire (Broadmoor Hospital) and other London boroughs

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and positive individual with a genuine passion for working in a team environment and to work autonomously in a supportive and collaborative environment as well as being a key member of the contracting and commissioning team which is part of the Business and Strategy Team at West London NHS Trust

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be expected provide admin support for all aspects of the contracts life cycle from internal engagements with relevant colleagues to external interactions with providers of depending on the needs and requirements of the team and the Trust, this may include updating the contract register, reviewing and logging all contracting queries, arranging meeting and taking minutes, taking part in contract monitoring meetings, and dealing with a wide spectrum of ad hoc requests in relation to contract service delivery across the Trust.

This will therefore be a very busy role and the post holder will require a flexible approach to work and be able to use their own initiative and work effectively with other team members. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual with, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Expertise of contract management underpinned with theory acquired through degree or equivalent training and experience.

Knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of the NHS contracting process
  • Knowledge of how NHS services are commissioned and procured including broad understanding of National Policy and targets and specific knowledge of the NHS.
