Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Qualifications and Centre Management Team at the North West Ambulance Service for a Data Quality and Compliance Manager. This is full-time role on a permanent basis (37.5 hours per week) and is based at either Trust HQ at Ladybridge Hall, Bolton or Estuary Point, Speke.

The role is an ideal opportunity for someone with significant knowledge and experience of working with apprenticeship data and ILR compliance, and who can provide evidenced assurance of conformity to external standards.

Assessment centre will take place on 6th August 2024

Main duties of the job

This rewarding and challenging role is responsible for working with the Qualifications and Centre Manager to provide assurance of compliance with external standards eg Ofsted, ESFA etc, and also developing and maintaining data tracking, audit and control systems to contribute to effective internal monitoring and management of performance and compliance. You will be responsible for designing, scheduling and conducting thematic internal audits, analysing findings, taking corrective and preventative actions and reporting outcomes. You will manage and work with the Data and ILR Coordinators to ensure a robust system of learner enrolment and ongoing data management.  You will maintain evidence of eligible apprenticeship delivery costs and expenditure of apprenticeship monies.

This role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual who pays particular attention to detail; you will have an excellent understanding of the ESFA funding rules and critical factors used within ESFA audits. You must be a team player, be able to prioritise and manage a workload within tight deadlines, be confident at liaising with stakeholders at all levels and have excellent analytical skills. You will possess high level skills in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Regular travel in your own vehicle may be required across the North West (subject to Agenda for Change terms and conditions) whilst a reduction in unnecessary journeys via the use of technology will be actively encouraged.
