This a great opportunity to work with Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM) mental health locality.  The post holder will co-ordinate and manage all administrative aspects of the WAM PCN Team and CMHT.  The post holder will lead and coordinate a service that is integrated with Primary Care and Community Voluntary Sector and ensure there is regular liaison with other services across the Trust. 

The post holder will have a key role in linking BHFT Mental Health services across the Trust with PCNs and Frimley Health and Care Integrated system (ICS) partners. 

The post holder will ensure that there are effective systems in place to collect and report information as required for performance reporting and evidence compliance with performance and quality standards.   

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  •          To oversee the clinical work of the team, ensuring that cases are allocated appropriately and in a timely way, ensuring that a high standard of assessment, care planning and risk assessment is in place. 
  •          To manage any waiting lists effectively and oversee performance management of clinical processes.
  •          To ensure staff are operational within their competency and ensure that staff at all levels have access to clinical support when needed.
  •          To be conversant with a variety of mental health services, primary care and secondary services. 
  •          To develop and or contribute to a clinical governance plan for the team and implement clinical audit to improve services. 
  •          To ensure quality outcome measures are in place and evidenced. To ensure electronic records are maintained by the team to a high standard using RIO and other systems. 
  •          To ensure that the team administrators are performing at a high or accepted standard of practice and offer supervision and guidance as appropriate.
  •          To promote effective relationships between the services and users of the service.  
  •         To be proficient in operating IT systems within the Trust and to ensure that all relevant information including email is communicated to other members of staff.

The “must haves” for this role:

  • .       Demonstrable experience of managing difficult situations with service users that have complex mental health conditions and challenging behaviours 
  • .        Experience working with primary care and community mental health teams.
  • .        Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and the ability to engage clinicians and other stakeholder groups in change, development and improvement  
  • .        Able to empathise, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others as well as being able to cope with highly distressing circumstances
  • .        Experience in interpreting data related to healthcare performance and using this to come up with strategies to improve quality and efficiency in service delivery

  • Relevant short courses/training/certification, for example in business or administrative skills.

  • Business or Administrative qualification (NVQ 4 in Business & Administration or equivalent)

Previous Experience

  • Significant experience of working in a business or administrative role, coordinating and implementing a range of business administration processes.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of using a variety of IT packages (such as MS Office) and other electronic systems (RiO, ESR, Dragon Software, etc.)
  • Experience of supervision of staff including performance and absence management.
  • Substantial experience of managing data for performance and reporting purposes
