Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for the post of FTSA STRH level in the department of Ophthalmology, based at University Hospital of Wales (Cardiff) and Princess of Wales Hospital (Bridgend) to commence on the below date periods:
as soon as possible and is until 4th February 2024

Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent Medical Qualification
- success in part 1 FRCOphth examination
- At least 24 months of experience in Ophthalmology not including foundation modules
- Clinical knowledge and capacity to apply sound clinical judgement
- Capacity to manage time and information
- Demonstrate initiative and resilience to cope with setbacks and rapidly changing cirucmstances
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of relevant academic and research achievements, e.g degrees, prizes, awards, distinctions, publications, presentations, other achievements
- Evidence of ability to perform ophthalmic procedures
- Able to demonstrate evidence of delivery of teaching, including feedback
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
