Job overview

We are delighted to advertise a Consultant Psychiatrist posts funded as part of our local transformation. This full time (10 PA) Consultant Adult Psychiatrist post will provide clinical leadership and psychiatric expertise to the PCN based multidisciplinary integrated community mental health teams. We are in a unique position in which each Consultant Psychiatrist is able to develop close links and work alongside GPs in just one PCN. Our community mental health offer (centred around the Primary Care Networks) enables comprehensive engagement with Integrated Care Systems using a whole person, whole population health approach. The model will utilise all the community resources available including health, social care, VCSE organisations and local communities and consider resources to support wellbeing outside of mental health services alone.

You should have good communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to community care for people with mental illness, and be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and flexibly with a multi professional team.

Candidates should be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent), and have their CCT or be eligible for inclusion on specialist registrar.

The roles report directly to the Clinical Director, Clinical Lead and Service Manager.

Interviews are planned for September  2024
