The NHS Northern Gambling Service is a regional service for people and families experiencing significant gambling related harms, and associated distress.  It has clinics in the North West (Manchester, Liverpool and Preston) and Yorkshire and Humber and the North East (Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle).  The post holder will work across our North East geographical footprint and will be based at the Newcastle clinic.  Travel will be expected across the service footprint to attend occasional meetings and CPD in person.

The core programme for service users and carers is psychological therapy in a group and/or individual format. The multi-disciplinary team is made up of psychology, psychotherapists, mental health nurses and lived experience. The post holder will work in a hybrid way, with face to face clinical work at the Newcastle clinic & some work from home via virtual consultations to be expected. There is also the opportunity to innovate and influence the development of the service. Some teaching/presentations in public, academic, and professional settings is also a part of the role, and we have an active research department where there are opportunities to become involved.
