The postholder will maintain own clinical skills and competencies and have excellent communication skills. The postholder will work within the NMC Code of professional standards and behaviour, and Trust guidelines and procedures. 

The postholder will work within the multi professional team and will be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based care midwifery care for service users attending the Milton Keynes University Hospital. 

The postholder will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of evaluation of midwifery care needs of the individual in hospital and community setting depending on allocation to the in-patient area of continuity of care teams

The postholder will provide accurate, unbiased, non-judgemental evidence-based information to both the multi professional team and service users.

•    To provide professional, high quality co- ordinated patient care to children & their families, aiming to improve the management of their respiratory condition, within agreed protocols and allocated resources.

•    To holistically assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients within their sphere of responsibility
