Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. Perform complex imaging with training and completion of competencies progressing to scanning without supervision.
2. Ensure compliance with protocols so that high departmental standards are met.
3. Ensure the delivery of safe patient care.
4. After the induction period work towards completing training to in advance practice as directed in the Expanded Scope of Practice.
5. Weekend work will be required as part of a seven day service.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of teaching, mentoring, or supporting colleagues training and development
- Significant previous imaging experience
- Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
- Current HCPC registration
- Evidence of personal and professional development
- Sound knowledge of all areas of Governance including H&S, COSHH, Manual Handling and MHRA
- Experience working in the NHS
- Evidence of audit and R&D
- Able to be flexible and work according to the needs of the patient and service
- Evidence of leadership experience
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex information
Desirable criteria
- Intermediate life support
- Evidence of area of advance practice
- Post graduate diploma or relevant experience in an area of clinical specialism and/or management
- IV cannulation certificate
