We require a friendly, positive thinking, organised and motivated individual to work as a Housekeeper within the adult inpatient ward at the Harbour, Blackpool.

The Post Holder will, under supervision and alongside the nursed team , work to maintain individuality of service users by assisting in tasks to meet the individual patient needs as determined by the Nursing Team.  Maintain an adequate provision of flat linen, window and door curtains and be responsible for the cleanliness of these.  Monitor fitness for general purpose of ward environment and ensure regulations are followed to comply with the environmental audit works issues.  Monitor food and diet to service users. Liaise with contractors and support service departments.  

The post holder will be responsible for the co ordination of all patient and staff facilities within the ward environment, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment

The post holder will work as an integral part of the Ward team and will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities/services in the in-patient area and for ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable environment.

The main element of the role is to support ward managers in the running of the unit, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs, as determined by the Ward Manager/Deputy Ward Manager or Nurse in Charge.

The post holder will be required to work closely with contractors and Estates & Facilities departments, and will monitor quality standards and rectify deficiencies in liaison with the Ward Managers. Where this is not possible or timely this will be escalated and formal records kept.
