Main duties of the job

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Working as an integral member of the PACS/RIS Team, having responsibility for daily working practices and assistance to junior members of the Team.  Also, regular use of all Radiology Systems which include CRIS, ICE, PACS and IEP. 

To provide assistance in relevant projects and improvement plans to final implementation The role will also involve the cascade of benefits from current and other developments throughout the Trust as part of the overall Radiology PACS/CRIS/ICE strategy.  

To be a core member of the PACS Office. This will include liaison and support to all within Radiology as a whole, the Trust, and other key external contacts including patients.  To be point of contact for Band 2 & 3 staff members and act as trainer and mentor for specific areas of their training and ongoing improvement.  To provide support to the PACS Department which will include the Office Manager and other key senior members as required.

Qualifications / Training Required

Essential criteria
  • Literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrable to GCSE (or equivalent) standard
  • Educated to NVQ3/Diploma standard or equivalent qualification level or relevant work-based experience / training
  • Knowledge of UHS Trust IT systems
Desirable criteria
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office and Excel programs

Previous or Relevant Experience
